Custom Colour Wafer Paper: Build a Three-Colour Dessert Palette

Illustrated three-colour wafer-paper palette in muted plum, peach and sage becoming coordinated cake, cupcake and cookie decorations.
Original three-colour dessert concept—not a customer order or product-performance test.

A multi-colour dessert table feels coordinated when every shade has a job. Instead of collecting random colours, start with three roles—anchor, supporting colour and accent—then choose the wafer thickness required for each decoration.

1. Pick one anchor colour

Begin with the shade guests should notice first. It might come from an invitation, logo or table linen. Use this colour on the largest wafer-paper elements, such as a cake band, broad leaves or repeated silhouettes.

2. Add a supporting colour

Choose a quieter neighbour that works with the anchor rather than competing with it. Repeat it on medium-sized pieces such as cupcake sails or cookie accents. Keeping these two shades visually related makes the table feel intentional.

3. Use the accent sparingly

Your third colour can create contrast in small doses: flower centres, tiny circles, narrow strips or a few standout leaves. Test the three colours together at the planned proportions before cutting the full sheets.

4. Match the sheet to the job

The Custom Colour Wafer Sheet is sold as one full, uncut sheet in one chosen colour. Select the thickness for the decoration’s structure first, then choose the CMYK colour. To order multiple colours, add each selection separately before creating the next one.

Preview carefully: screen colour is a guide. Edible ink, wafer texture and sheet thickness can shift the printed result, so exact matching cannot be guaranteed. If a specific shade is critical, plan a sample before committing the full palette.

  • Support: repeated medium-sized accents.
  • Accent: small details used selectively.
