Your camera roll already holds the ingredients for a memorable cake design: a first adventure, a favourite person, a wonderfully awkward old photo. Turn those moments into a little story around the cake.

Four frames. One story.

1. Choose a beginning, not just a collection. Try “then, growing up, favourite adventure, today.” For an anniversary, swap in first meeting, a shared trip and a recent favourite. You do not need a photo from every year.
2. Give each frame one star. Choose images where the important person or detail is easy to spot. Check how each crop looks at the intended printed size before including a crowded group shot.
3. Pick the cake's front. Put your favourite image where the main photograph will be taken. Tell us which picture should lead the strip, and keep any requested names or dates brief.
4. Measure before making the layout. Share the finished cake's diameter and the height available for the strip, allowing room for piped borders. Ask us to confirm the strip arrangement before assuming a particular number will fit.
